Living historians will be portraying Generals Lee & Grant and their lieutenants will recreate historic moments of the final days leading up to and including the surrender. Activities include: Lee's last war counsel, General Gordon's attempted break-out, Lee-Grant meeting, stacking of arms and reduction of colors. Reenactors limited. May 14-16,2010 Naperville, IL | The historic museum village is transformed into a Civil War encampment where visitors can meet famous figures of the past and experience firsthand a turbulent time period in our nation's history. Hundreds of re-enactors participate, staging a battle complete with raging cannons and artillery. Walk the grounds and talk to President Abraham Lincoln, famous generals and characters that bring the past to life. The battle begins at 2:30 p.m. each day

June 12-13, 2010 Rockville, IN | Billie Creek Village welcomes Civil War Re-Enactors from all over the United States to participate in the annual Civil War Days. Each year, famous battles of the Civil War are fought throughout the village and farm lands over the two day event. On Sunday, June 14th, a public senatorial debate between Abraham Lincoln and Steven A. Douglas will be recreated just outside the Governor's house in Billie Creek Village.

Civil War Ball Saturday evening to Honor Battery G’s 35th year in Civil War reenacting Ladies Tea and Fashion show Saturday morning, President and Mrs. Lincoln to appear, Court Martial and execution of a Confederate Spy, Period Church services Sunday morning. July 9-11, 2010 Wauconda, IL | Almost an century and a half after the Civil War ended Union and Confederate troops fight at the Lake County Forest Preserve. The battle, which features about 500 reenactors, is part of the 19th annual Civil War days show. Cannons blast, rifles fire, and soldiers yell throughout the field.
