FAQ
Here are some of the questions asked by visitors to reenactments. Perhaps you might be wondering about participating in reenactment, or maybe you just want to know a little more about us.

A: Boiled peanuts, strange as it may sound. They have a texture some compare to Gummy Bears, and a bland flavor. For more info visit here. Yeah, Wikipedia has lots of information. Goober peas was one of the staples of southern military diet as peanuts were inexpensive and very portable.

Q: Aren't you hot in all that wool?
A: Of course I am. Check out all the Victorian chicks hanging off of me. I've got three sets of bloomers hanging from the rear view mirror of my buggy. Of course, I'd be hot regardless of what I wear.
Truly, it depends on the temperature and humidity. Wool wicks moisture away, so in humid climates, it may help to keep me more comfortable. More importantly, my uniform is layered to insulate better and adapt to changing conditions.

A: You already did! Most people get their start by attending a reenactment and seeing how exciting and informative they can be. Since you are probably here after attending an event, you're interested and want to know more about reenacting. Check out our page on Military and Civilian reenacting for an idea of what you'll want to get started with. Check out the Event Photos page to see how much fun we have.
A:Cruise over to the Calendar of Events to see where we'll be this weekend..
